About Me

This is me. This is 40. Well actually, 43 now. What’s another 3 years?

40

I grew up in Queens, New York. When I was 30, I moved to North Carolina with my boyfriend (now hubby). My kids are  7 years old  and 4 years old.  They put the fun (and crazy!) in life. I also teach first grade. It’s quite rare that there are any dull moments. Kids tend to bring out the bizarre, imaginative and over the top stuff. I am always in the middle of it!

Some people wanted to go crazy for my birthday and decorate as if my youth was completely gone. Others really wanted to celebrate. Other than getting away to the beach with my family, I didn’t care. But then I started thinking and wondering about life at 40 and on. Writing used to be one of my favorite things to do. I wanted to get back to it.

I blew out the candles on my cake and made a wish.

Here is my blog on the adventures and thoughts of a forty something year old who is far from over the hill. Most of the time, anyway.

I hope you will smile, laugh, and enjoy 40 Wishes and Counting! Feel free to share anything you like on social media. The more that go crazy with me, the merrier!

Don’t miss a thing!

Welcome to 40 Wishes!

I am so happy you are visiting my blog! Please sign up to receive the latest postings. It would be great if it's not just my family following along (yes... family you are important, but you are kind of obligated). Lots of fun thoughts and adventures will be going on! Best part is, you don't have to be 40 to enjoy it.

In the background, my Christmas music played on the radio and I took the very long way home. It’s […]
