Tis’ The Season For It All

img_8216  I am a sucker for romance movies. We have finally hit that time of year where Hallmark and Lifetime start to play the Christmas ones non stop. I have to admit though, I am pretty sure I watched a few back in the summer.

There is just something about two people who have some kind of problem to get through that end up falling in love. We see it coming a mile away but it’s just way too much fun to watch. What can I say? I like the sappy especially when there is a white Christmas tree with red ornaments.

The snow scenes, hot chocolate, and music all make the winter so appealing. Anyone that knows me can tell you I HATE the cold.

So I am sitting here in my brand new purchased Christmas leggings watching a corny holiday movie while the littlest naps and the other one is out with his daddy. The fire is going and I have a blanket on. If only I had the energy to get the decorations down from the attic, it could be perfect even before the big turkey day.

But I am feeling lazy so there is that.

However, not too lazy that I can’t have Pinterest in front of me looking up the perfect drinks and desserts to go with the season.

One must be prepared for creating the joy if you know what I mean.

Speaking of, has anyone done their shopping yet? I have Christmas AND Chanukah to shop for and all I have are these leggings I purchased for…myself.

On turkey day and any day, I am always thankful for Amazon just for all of that.

Then there are all of the holiday parties! What to wear? What to wear? It is my husband’s opinion that I should just pick anything out of my closet and go with that but we all know it’s not that simple. Holiday parties also require things to be a step up like me actually painting my nails.  This is serious stuff.

So much to do and so little time. Then once you have everything, there is the wrapping. Please tell me I am not the only one who loses the scissors at least twice and runs out of tape every year.

Ohhhhh and can’t forget all the classic holiday movies!

I love Christmas music. My brother and I can really belt out those tunes in the car. You haven’t lived until you have heard our version of Elvis Presley’s, “Blue Christmas” or his personal favorite of, “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas”.

Then there is the big guy. You know the one I am talking about. I am still waiting on my canopy bed. That has been in my letter every year since I can remember. That and a unicorn. Fingers crossed this is the year it happens.

My kids love to light the candles and spin the dreidel. This year, both of the holidays were celebrate are at the same time. It’s going to be as Adam Sandler puts it, “8 crazy nights”.

Tis’ the season for all things magical, hectic, and crazy. I love it all!

Start passing the Egg Nog. Make mine extra spiked, please.

Thanks so much for following me at 40 Wishes and Counting.

This post is brought to you by day 20 of the BlogHer’s 2016 NaBloPoMo. Look at that! I finally got the name right. 🙂 Good luck on all of your holiday to do this season! Love, Stacey
