The sun was shining and the weather was finally at the perfect temperature. This came after 11 straight days of rain here, so when my 20 month old pointed to her stroller and said, “walk”, I was ready to go.
We happily started walking down the block. She was pointing out different things using baby babble and I was just enjoying the fresh air.
That’s when the bee flew right next to her.
I FROZE. After waiting a split second and it not moving, I inched the stroller to the side. It stayed right next to her. The bee moved near baby girl’s face and I freaked while trying to shoo it and get her out of the stroller.
It decided to go after a new victim…
The damn thing flew up to my face and I went screaming into the street. Poor baby girl was left in her stroller watching the whole scene. I wondered if anyone would come rescue her if I was stung. No one was running out of their doors to help me despite the frantic yelling. Does anyone not work at home anymore?
Finally, I didn’t see it anymore. I ran back and got her out of the stroller fast and we took off leaving the stroller behind.
We turned around expecting to see it still following us and stared back at where it all started.
Choosing my words carefully in between huffs and puffs due to running, I told her that I would always make sure she is okay and that I love her very much.
That’s when I heard it before I saw it. BUUUUUZZZZZ BUZZZZZZ BUZZ!!
Holy sh**!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?!!???
This bee was not going to give up. We took off.
If anyone needs us, we are currently still hiding under the bed in our house.
Also if you see a stroller around the neighborhood, it’s ours.
