Thanks to the different things I do and the various places I go, I have made some truly amazing friendships. Sometimes, we could just use a break from the potty training talk, feeding dilemmas, and crazy meltdown stories. Some of us can just use a break from talking about work and everyday life. Many can use a break from all of the ongoing things that can stress us out.
Here are the types of friendships you should have influencing you when it’s time to let loose and have some fun!
The let’s go out and drink plus paint friend:
If you have not been to one of those places where you bring your alcohol and paint a picture that the teacher leads you in step by step, you are missing out. I have a friend that goes so often that if I went just as much, I would be Picasso by now.
The movie friend:
This is the friend that goes to all of the latest and greatest movies…in the actual theater. Bonus points if she shares her popcorn.
The try something new friend:
White water rafting? Sushi making? Hula hoop contest? Karaoke singing?
Let’s go crazy.
The weekend getaway friend:
Pack our bags up and find different places to go! Girls trips before we actually really needed them and could appreciate the whole experience. This is the friend who looks up destinations and makes a plan. You happily follow along.
The designated driver friend:
This is the friend that loves to go out to bars, clubs, and concerts but rarely likes to drink. It’s always good to know you can party and get home safely.
What are the friendship outings you are thankful for to just get away from it all?
